I now work from home so I don't really have any extra free time but one thing I've started doing is practicing my guitar during those conference calls that should have been emails. Got a good couple hours of playing in today.

I so this fly past on FB timeline and meant to listen when I got home on the weekend but forgot to  :(

The guitar has a lovely tone AG.  The tune could be something with some work but you have at least made the start.

I think after you finish the entertainment wall cabinet maybe you should soundproof a room in the house and get those songs to shine.  you are a great player AG and I would love to hear more.

Thanks guys . Ah the tune . Ok here's the story.

I relistened with ear buds this morning and realized there's body movement sounds that I missed and I'm sure there on the main track so no editing for me .

Also timing issues so it will be redone .

You guys know I like to keep tunes kind of simple.

I want the guitar to be heard all the sustain and over tones .

That's how it started it was a noodle in-between the original tune I was recording . I just went into A.D.D mode . As soon as I played the chord and it just rang out with a whole bunch of angles behind it I had to record it . Lol

Turn it up loud enough and you'll hear what I'm talking about . Lol

Other then that the tune is meant be pretty much as is ,not really going anywhere but be relaxing . Something like lapping waves at the beach they just keep coming one after the other same motion same sounds over and over .

I'm also not EQ'n it and obviously the only effect is reverb . Again I want the guitars true tone or as close I can get to it to be heard.

So yeah a redo also my F'n breathing , it sound like I ran a marathon.

I'm slowly getting better shape dropped 14lbs
My goal is 195-200 by September. Fingers crossed. Lol

You're playing is so clean! And the tone of the guitar spectacular!

I haven't listened to it on monitors only on our Bluetooth speaker downstairs.

I think you've got a great acoustic recording setup I really like the sound. Is this with the monoprice Mic? I think it was a lollipop?

I'm always chasing a good acoustic sound. Any chance you could give us just a brief rundown on how you did it?

Thanks for posting,

KC

BTW... didn't mean to get all DAW geeky and techie... I think it's a great song too!

Thank you KC . I'm going to redo the song it's pretty sloppy .lol

Actually the setup is quite simple . I think the key is a decent sound card ,good interface and fairly good mics which can be inexpensive .
So
windows 10
Lexicon I -42 interface .
Mics used are ,
Mono price 800600 large diaphragm lollipop set to 360 record.
And a Blue Spark , this time. Lol
Cables are Monoorice balanced .
Daw is Reason 10 .

You know Dino always has great recordings also so ask him as well . I think you need to keep liking the sound your after and  experiment with gear that can get you there .I do it as cheap as possible. Lol
My saying is always , A mic will tell you exactly what your acoustic sounds like .

If it's cheap no matter how good you record it'll still be blah .

So first think you need to do in my opinion is research alot and get a good acoustic ! It will reward with pleasing tone if your into acoustics that is.  😊

Thanks DJ , except for the heavy breathing and the refrigerator and the outside low rumbling sounds that I can't track down.  Lol

I went outside trying to locate those low sounds , I could just barely hear them but what was making them I have no clue . Lol

Those mics though pick it up like it's in your room . 😡 Haha
