That's strange.  I don't know what the problem might be.  I had to log into GoDaddy today for a business website and didn't have any problem.  Wish I could help, Neil, but there's nothing I can do on your account...

Huh!  Neil gave me the link to the new site, and I checked it out yesterday.  Looking good.  But went to look at it again today and can't get there.  What do you think, Neil?

"Just A Song"
« on: December 26, 2019, 12:55:08 PM »
We've all heard the saying that all you need to write a great song is 'three chords and the truth."  The only problem is, that assumes the songwriter knows the truth.  This is a sketch just to get some things off my mind and could definitely use some work but I thought I'd at least share this iteration.  I've had the lyric fragments for a while but never had a melody or instrumentation concept to go with it so I went simple just to record it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

That's a really nice recording as it is! There is a lot you could do if you wanted to, but simple works too  ;D I could hear some backing vocals and some strings in there too, nice one Red!

Thanks for the suggestions! I totally agree about the strings and actually have been working with someone to see if we can add that layer. :)

I think it is great!

Something about a guitar and voice.

I agree with the Rox. Perhaps some backing vocals/harmonies.

I could definitely hear some strings or string swells in there for sure.

Or perhaps just a bass

Or perhaps just an acoustic lead.

I like it alot! Thanks for posting.

As always, great tune :)
I'm with the others some strings later in the song would be great.....
Some sort of buildup - maybe a second guitar part then bass then strings or something layering up to a crescendo then right back to solo guitar and vox.... :)

Works just as it is though...a good song is a good song no matter what you add :)
