They would have to tell you that, Way2, because it's not your account.  I checked, though, and it's still there.  Can't see what the problem might be...  :(

Don't know what the problem might be, Way2,but I'm not thinking too well these days.  On the other hand, as I mentioned the other day, you might want to start using a different email address, because the TTM emails will be leaving soon...

A request?  Cool.  I've got a Strat that I am pondering a re fret to EVO wire.  If I can keep my eyes & head together long enough to get this going (and photo journal the sucker)  I'll post it up.  May take a bit but I'll get it.

Regards, brother man,

Gordon

Yeah I'd prefer a acoustic ,wonder why ? Lol

I had Ben put Evo gold on my Custom he hadn't worked with those before . My interest is the filing of fret ends over the extension . 😁

But I'd enjoy anything you post about the work . 😊

I've got nothing on acoustics.  99.9% of all I do is on electrics.  Fret ends over the extension...meaning that the ends are cut flush but they are sharp to the touch?  Not a tang that isn't sitting on binding?

If it's sharp feeling ends I would mask the top, get a 3-corner fret file (ala Stew Mac or Philadelphia Luthiers). The kind that have smooth edges between the cutting surfaces. Take really short strokes to get the edges rounded.  That, and/or get a hold of some Micro-Mesh sandpaper set (1500 to 12000 grit) and mask off the top by the extension as well as between the affected frets and run the Mesh over the ends, starting coarse & ending with the 12K fine.  Won't take off a lot at once & silky smooth when completed.  EVO is pretty stout stuff so it may take a bit but patience & effort will be rewarded.

Just a thought.
Regards,

Gordon
