Jes Combobob. Talk about make us feel old. I was watching a Christopher Ecclestone old doctor who and the mobiles in 2005 seemed prehistoric. Times change. For better and worse.

Happy 15th TTM. I remember the first song I recorded fot the Kristal Challenge in 2005. It had bass and vocals and I uploaded it on the old dial-up. How things have changed...I have learned so much from you all and made many friends here.  :)

Hello from south of Boston....
« on: July 19, 2019, 11:51:44 AM »
I have never properly posted here to introduce myself.... or reintroduce myself!  :-[

Came over in the big Kristal migration eons ago. I was at the back of the pack and just kind of slid in the TTM door.  ;D

Just recently started writing and recording again. Reaper/S1 v2, solo acoustic songs that would most likely be classified as folk, americana country-ish perhaps.

Bass is my primary but have been playing more guitar as of late, that's what I tend ot write on.  I have some songs in the can that have to be refined and recorded. Looking at a very stripped down production of acoustic, bass, cajon and vox.

Been wandering around the TTM as of late and look forward to spending more time here as an active member!

It will be great getting reacquainted and meeting all the new folks!!

KC

BTW.. I can find the level of production and musicianship here intimidating .... Looking forward to the ride!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the "Welcome back"! I'm looking forward to getting back on track ...  ;D .... It's almost like I'm starting from gound zero re: recording. I have some scratch tracks and still haven't settled on my recording method for acoustic. Done some trial runs with different set-ups incuding going direct and mic'ing.

Still haven't achieved what I'm looking for but again it may sound betterr in the mix than solo'd.

Looking forward to posting some clips!!
