Plus, all my stuff is cheap, so nothing would be a great loss. I'd rather they play with it than lock it all up safely. It's just stuff...

My nephews (4 & 8) had a great time with the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, kick drum pedal, tambourine, & microphone. Music was made for sure!

For the last month or so, we've had to travel to either my wife's family or mine for various reasons. Today, some of them are coming here for the weekend. Don't they know I have an ODC song to record?!?

Software Crackle
« on: December 30, 2018, 09:49:48 AM »
I've just set up my Focusrite interface and its working well, except there is a software crackle, which is reaching the recorded sound.

I remember having something similar when I got my other interface and having to make a few adjustments but can't remember what I should be adjusting.

I'm using Reaper, and the interface ASIO settings are default 48hz, buffer 256.

Do I need to adjust Reaper to align, or the interface to work with Reaper?

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

I'm not up on Reaper but sounds like just need to the adjust the buffering slowly back it down until the crackling goes away . Is 256 the highest setting on the unit ?

Problem solved - just needed to adjust some of the settings I had changed in Reaper for the last unit back to default setting.

Had fun messing around with a cover of Hold Back The Night to do a test.
