I've been closing out multiple business websites and telling them they need to find another web person, because I can't keep doing them anymore...  :(

That's strange.  I don't know what the problem might be.  I had to log into GoDaddy today for a business website and didn't have any problem.  Wish I could help, Neil, but there's nothing I can do on your account...

Huh!  Neil gave me the link to the new site, and I checked it out yesterday.  Looking good.  But went to look at it again today and can't get there.  What do you think, Neil?

Taking your CDs with you...
« on: October 25, 2013, 11:25:01 AM »
.. or rather, your legal backups of your CDs for your own personal use with you in some other electronic format. :)

So as I shouted, I recently bought this:

... and this:

woohoo... just discovered it has a DVD as well!

... and I needed to get it onto my telling-bone for the daily perambulations whence I am apart from the machine of disc-playingness.

So, looking for a decent CD-ripper, I went to the good ol' Gizmo site and found this to be highly recommended in the top ten:

So far so good, found the Bluegrass album details - which I expected to be an issue - no problemo!

Don't know if you can find this on cd. It is THE Bluegrass album to have IMHO.  Recorded Live March 18, 1974 in Vanderbilt University's Neely Auditorium Lester Flatt Live! Bluegrass Festival with Guest Bill Monroe" a 14 15yo Marty Stuart also makes a appearance.

Why not use good old iTunes or Windows Media Player?

I don't like anything that wants to "manage" my stuff, Dino. I barely cave into Google Play Store's Music.

I just want a tool that does the job without trying to sell me trendy, commercial, crap-of-the-moment that I won't want, or stopping me from doing anything with stuff I own :) AND more importantly, in one-step.

This does what it says without trying to be your benevolent dictator... and you can opt for whatever format you want, including FLAC and APE - a little esoteric, granted, but the option is there :)
