Plus, all my stuff is cheap, so nothing would be a great loss. I'd rather they play with it than lock it all up safely. It's just stuff...

My nephews (4 & 8) had a great time with the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, kick drum pedal, tambourine, & microphone. Music was made for sure!

For the last month or so, we've had to travel to either my wife's family or mine for various reasons. Today, some of them are coming here for the weekend. Don't they know I have an ODC song to record?!?

Hard Luck Cafe - live recording
« on: October 10, 2018, 07:31:49 PM »

This is a cover of a song by Keith Stegall, who's more known as a songwriter than an artist in his own right, from his 1996 album "Passages" (which you should check out if you're into modern Country music even just a bit).

This was recorded entirely live (guitar and vocals done at the same time), in Harrison Mixbus v5.  No pitch correction of any kind (which you'll be able to tell lol), just some EQ, compression, reverb and delay.  I decided to do this, partially to actually try Mixbus which I purchased and never actually used, but also because the night I did this I'd been planning to do a performance on Streetjelly but was having issues getting a stable video signal.

So yeah, it's a bit pitchy in places, there's some odd clicky noises in the background and the guitar playing's a bit ropey, but what the hell.  It was fun to do something as live.
