All the KAE folks are over here now agr, but I WOULD be curious as to how many still use KAE as their DAW? I pull it out for a challenge every now and then, and still find it totally useable.... 8)

Had a lot of fun watching the granddaughter's dance recital, but man that was a long ride.  Need a day to recover.  And they wouldn't even let me take pictures or record video...  >:(

My transformation is complete!
« on: March 10, 2018, 03:05:49 PM »
I've sold off all of my electric guitars, electric basses, and amps. I'm down to only accoustic instruments now, with the exception of my midi keyboard and Maschine controller. Most of my instruments are American made now, though some are not. Martin guitars, Guild guitars, small luthier made banjos, Collings and Big Muddy mandolins, Tacoma bass. Even some hand drums from Africa and Ireland, and a dulcimer too! I simply love acoustic music! I like listening to a great electric guitar player too though. I just don't care to play electric anymore.

My biggest influences have been mostly bluegrass players, though I also like James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, and others of that type of folksy music. Norman Blake and Tony Rice, Doc Watson... Huge fan of that type of music. Recently I've been really enjoying Gerry O'connor and his Irish tenor banjo playing. I'd love to play like this...

It's great to have a clear idea of how you should sound.

I still haven't really decided what I want to do when I grow up, and I'm 55.......

Gerry O'connor makes my head hurt, but then again so does my overall fav on most things acoustic Roy Clark.....
