With a decent FTP program (I use "Core FTP") it's kind of easy to check and see if any files on the site have been updated that shouldn't have been just by checking the file dates...

Ag, I did find one of the forum files that had a modification date of just a few months ago, which it shouldn't have.  So I checked and it had a hack line in it.  I took that out, and just waited to see if it helped at all...

That would be nice, Ag.  Better than our 3 more feet in the last 2 days and 40-45 mph winds to drift and bank.  Big drifts and half frozen.  Lucky I hired a plow guy this year (last fall)...

Oh bugger  :o I just realised, I have to think up the next challenge......  ???

Give me a few moments to work something out...........
What do ya fancy? Something genre inspired? A music techy thing? Or just something daft.....  :P (reminds me of Schprocky's Hamster, half bottle of whiskey and accordian challenge, LOL)

If I'm completely honest, I'll likely just try to shoehorn one of my undeveloped song ideas into whatever theme you come up with.

Luckily, I'm not completely honest.....     8)

You guys are crazy.....  :P :P :P :P :P

OK, down to bees knees........  ;D

I was knackered last night. Totally tired......  :-X

Then I thought, admittedly in a deranged state, why not a challenge around being tired........  ::)
It can be tired of something, tired of someone, tired of a situation, tired of the same thing for lunch, tired of the pop charts, tired of sex, drugs and rock and roll, tired of..... well, you get the picture.
Then I thought, well, some of you chappies are just freakin' annoyingly happy sorts, so why not include the opposite! Not tired of something, someone, etc, etc.....
You must include the word tired in the lyrics. If you create an instrumental then you must vocalise the word tired, be it spoken, whispered or sung, anywhere in the piece.

Normal rules apply:
  • Must be a new creation (unless you're not completely honest [RJ]  :o ),
  • 3 minutes minimum, 5 minutes maximum.
  • If a collab, only one vote, shared
  • I'll pencil in 30th November as finish date, but could be moveable....  ::)
  • Cash only, not cheques, thank you

Since that fine commercial bonanza, also known as a religious festival, also known as a pagan winter rite, is just next month, it could pay us to go just past the cut off date and then start a challenge that spans the new year binge piss up hangover celebrations.
Any ideas on that, folks?

Right then....

On your marks!

Get set!

tick, tick, tick, plonk

tick, tick, tick, plonk

tick, tick, tick, plonk

GO!

Nice one White!

Nov 30th or so sounds good, by the time we vote and set a new challenge, the end of Jan closing sounds like it’ll work out great!

Million dollar question.... can I enter two songs this month? One is a collab, the other is solo. My collab partner could vote on that one I'd vote on mine.

I think this has been forbidden in the past. (I tried once. :) )

Yeah, but you're awesome and they didn't want you to rub it in their faces by winning twice in the same challenge. 8)

Back then there were no deadline extensions, folks got DQ'd for failing to meet criteria or for not voting, there were cash prizes for winning, but all that is gone. Except this silly little rule. :(

Besides, I've heard the work-in-progress and it was pretty amazing before I did anything, so you guys are going to want a few extra entries if only to make it look like there is competition. On the other hand, maybe it isn't that great and even though I'm busting my butt to help make it the best it can be, I only want to enter my own song to increase my chances of winning the big prize. After all, winning is everything. Winning this challenge is the beginning of a long lucrative career playing music so I'll lie, cheat, and steal to win. And I've got a rubber cheque for $100 for any who agree to let me do this.  (-!)
