I've been closing out multiple business websites and telling them they need to find another web person, because I can't keep doing them anymore...  :(

That's strange.  I don't know what the problem might be.  I had to log into GoDaddy today for a business website and didn't have any problem.  Wish I could help, Neil, but there's nothing I can do on your account...

Huh!  Neil gave me the link to the new site, and I checked it out yesterday.  Looking good.  But went to look at it again today and can't get there.  What do you think, Neil?

Delay effect

Ok all you studio engineering types
Not sure how to word this but here goes...
Ever get a delay sound coming through your monitors or headphones from an instrument? While you're playing or recording but it's not actually on the recording.
I just bought a Steinberg UR 44 interface... (starting to wonder why)
Right off the bat it's more complicated than the simple MAudio I've used all these years... It's like I have to learn how to use it... No more plug it in push record and play....  :-\
If.... it's a temporary lull... why am I bored right outta my skull?
Man, I'm dressin' sharp an' feelin' dull

Nice looking piece of kit, J....  8)

Are you hearing just the delayed input signal, or immediate with added delay?

I'm guessing just the delayed input signal..... So, guessing again, the delay may be the result of latency. If so, I'm sure there is a way of hearing your input signal direct, rather than the signal through your DAW.
No idea how, just sayin'......  ;D

I think your most likely right WS this is most likely latency. Basically I think the signals just not getting processed quick enough.

I haven't experienced it myself with Studio 1 but I used to get it in varying degrees, just noticeable to  really late when using Audacity.

I'm currently using a Roland Duo Capture Ex interface with Studio 1which is really entry level equipment, nothing sophisticated and have no problem.

You can adjust for latency in various settings and I guess the place to look is Presonus help and User Forums.

So, the scenario is this....
You input your guitar sound (for instance), it flies through your interface, whizzes around your computer circuits, into and out of your DAW and eventually flops out of your interface, again.... all that takes time..........  ???
If you are adding a second track, while your new signal is getting into the system, the recorded track signal is already on it's way out..... Late....ncy  :o

I'm using NI Komplete Audio 6, which allows you to mix the input with the source, avoiding going through the computer and dealing with latency. Your's must have the same ability, J...  ::)
Mind you, this new machine's latency is minimal. Hardly noticeable and not distracting.  8)

Previously, I was using a mixer to hear the computer output and my input directly, while the input signal was also sent to the 'puter....  ;)

I was feeling like i made the wrong choice so yeah so...  I took it back to GC today and got the Komplete Audio 6...Was really my first choice or 2nd (but I couldn't justify the first choice  ::)) problem free so far out of the box no software issues yet.
What a ton of amp options you get with it... very kool.
