It's been dry mid to i-70s here south of Boston.

Great sleeping weather in the 60s with a nice breeze.

Well, it took 2 days, but I got the power steering fixed, the oil changed, and all the brakes replaced on the van.  Tomorrow it's the brakes on the car.  And then all the plow truck work...  ???

Marshall CODE Amps
« on: January 25, 2016, 06:17:53 PM »
Something different from the good folks at Marshall:  digital amps at some astonishingly low price points (for Marshall amps).  Modelling amp series that has a good selection of different models, FX & speaker combinations, etc.  Interesting trend in the industry.

These are a definate departure from the norm for Marshall & are leaning much more towards the industry direction of 'Kemper' type modeling.  Universal Audio, as I understand it, has been working with Marshall for some tme in developing amp sim plug-ins.  Marshall took this to the next logical step & put the plug in the box.  UA Marshall suite goes for @ $400 USD.  These new, yet-to-be-released Marshalls start at $200 up.  25, 50 & 100watt combo & 100w head.

Sweetwater has them available on pre order.  Two bills?  Might have to try the 25w.  But wait!  For only $50 more you get the 50w...

I'm waiting for the 'other-than-Chris George-demo's' to start showing up.  Still...seems like a very interesting piece of gear.  Hecho in Vietnam.  But I've got a DSL5C made there & it is nice.

EDIT:  Andertons UK vid from 2016 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA

I picked up a Marshall Micro-stack yesterday - not a bad tone for a tiny box.

Made the mistake of watching this, didn't I?.... :)

Love is all you need...
