Kristal was my introduction to digital recording but I just can’t use it now. Its so
cumbersome I find. Was Mattius the greater of studio one? I never understood the connection.

Wait, what are we debating again?  :D

How about... Are you in favor of the unabridged version or the PG version of Anne Franks Diary?
 :o
there were some deleted passages because of the sexual content... sort of.
Wait this doesn't belong in Humor either....

I agree that it's up to the individual on how they act.  I agree that being aware of opinions in the world is valuable.  And I agree that discussing what we all believe and how we come to those conclusions has value.  Just don't confuse someone not coming to the same conclusion as you as not "seeing what they don't have any interest in seeing."

Plus, we all place different values of importance on the things we see in the world.  I have to remind myself often that things that are very important to me may have a much lower level of importance to someone else.  There are things in this world that make my blood boil that someone else may simply shrug off as insignificant because they're concerned with something else.  As my wife always says, "you can't be passionate about everything."

I still don't see how you reached your conclusions and you never pointed out specifics from the memo...
I understand "not reaching the same conclusion"... just asked you to be specific and you said we're splitting hairs. Seems the hair splitting is the meat of the debate.
But ok...
You're right this is the "In Search of Humor" category... maybe someone got a laugh out of our back and forth.

Cheers!

Dear Yahoo,

I've never heard anyone say, "I don't know, let's Yahoo it..."

I guess it starts with just being aware of these things... where it goes from there is up to the individual.
If it doesn't concern you or any of the other things going on in the world... (life's good) there's nothing for you to do. I'm not going to make you see what you don't have any interest in seeing.
But I have no issue with discussing what I believe or how I arrive at my conclusions.

Here is my take on the track Dave, 2:45 long. 2 Acoustics.

Attached is a Mono track, since I did not know what kind of system it will be played back on.  ;) A Stereo one will follow. Both MP3 320kb.

Hope This Helps! 8)

I'm pretty sure calling a generalized group neurotic might cause some issues. Even the call in scientist brought that up. I know I would get defensive if someone called me neurotic simply because I am part of a group.

That's not what he said though... even the doctor agreed with his point... he even goes so far as to suggest some help for those that do experience it.
She also staes people immediately relate it as negative rather than a condition that certain people are more prone to experiencing... Like Anxiety... more women than men experience it. Nothing wrong with stating that if it's true.
He doesn't say or imply all women are neurotic.. anywhere in the memo.

I read items that may violate our harassment policies against "ridicule, denigrate, .... belittle. .... or show aversion toward a group."

Well you could pointed out where in the memo he's doing this... I don't see it. But if you cite it I'll check it out.

Convinced?
Yeah that's why I titled the thread Google is the Devil...

I thought it was interesting in the video where she talked about the magazine article with the 4 scientist writers/contributors on this subject.
The magazines website was hacked which prevented the magazine from posting the article for several days...  someone didn't want the article to come out or maybe just wanted it delayed...  Who knows...

That some funny stuff there Red... Especially the article from the anon woman...
No question of credibility there...  :o

Here you go Red try an actual female scientist (PHD) that studies the brain patterns of men and women...

I like how she points out there is something else at work here... politics! Also the science the kid uses in his memo is old and agreed upon in the scientific community. Hasn't changed for a long time and he represented it well.

He uses Science for his arguments if you will... Science backed by scientist. I'm guessing you don't take issue with that. Was it the neurotic-ism claim? Even if women tend to have a higher predisposition to depression. I can see that being offensive to some or many women... moody as they can  be...   :-X
You don't believe that if a company doesn't employ women in 50% of it's position they're sexist... do you?
I mean that's about the weakest of arguments like the pay gap nonsense...

What coc from your company would have been violated by this memo?

Interesting. Having read the document, that's not what I took away from it. I can only frame it in my experience and it reads quite different to me. But then again, I don't work for Google and don't know their internal culture.

What did you take away from it?

Ahh don't get me wrong Red... my life is not bad...
I've been in Charlotte for 10 years working for the same co.
My spouse and I have been together for 17 years... not always good but we fight through the bad
4 kids all reasonably happy most important they're good people
and I still get to play my guitar whenever I want to.

I just don't like some of the trends I see going on in the world today. As crazy as it probably sounds I see the growth of a new form of Marxism taking hold of many of the Western governments. Instead of working class vs the Wealthy it's about oppressors vs the oppressed. How everyone has been marginalized by the Patriarch.
If you are politically to the left you're probably ok with some of these things.
Free Speech means a lot of things but most important it allows all ideas to be heard and then we get to decide which ones are the best. But if you shut people down and decide what is allowed you're doomed.
Every form of this whether it's a speaker not being allowed to speak on a college campus or a video being pulled because the content doesn't meet the ideology of Google is dangerous.
I could go on about the Attacks on Western ways but I won't.
I wish you good fortune in the wars to come!  ;D ~:)

It's a tangled web much deeper than just "start your own video service that doesn't censor" or "be an anon"... try doing business and being an anon or an employee of a company. Good luck with that.
Retailers are struggling to keep stores open...  most everything we do is done as online transactions.

You and I see a slightly different world... well... I don't see it to be nearly so peachy.

About right.   ::->

But it's not just Google anymore, there are other people out there listening to every phone conversation, reading every email, monitoring your spending, checking your location via your cell phone GPS, watching you on camera everywhere you go, listening to any microphone connected to a computer or phone (and using those cameras), and checking who you are by scanning everything in your back pocket as you walk by certain places.  Oh, and watching what you eat for breakfast because flying a camera drone up to a house window on private property is legal now, including bedroom windows.

But hey, if you're not doing anything wrong, who cares?  Right?  >:(

Google is a worldwide utility monster now... they have too much control and are becoming dangerous imo.
Have you seen the new censorship rules going on on YouTube?
F'ing insane.

Hello!  Is this Gordon's Pizza?

No sir, it's Google's Pizza.

Did I dial the wrong number?

No sir, Google bought the pizza store.

Oh, alright - then I’d like to place an order please.

Okay sir, do you want the usual?

The usual?  You know what my usual is?

According to the caller ID, the last 15 times you’ve ordered a 12-slice with double-cheese, sausage, and thick crust.

Okay - that’s what I want this time too.

May I suggest that this time you order an 8-slice with ricotta, arugula, and tomato instead?

No, I hate vegetables.

But your cholesterol is not good.

How do you know?

Through the subscribers guide.  We have the results of your blood tests for the last 7 years.

Maybe so, but I don’t want the pizza you suggest – I already take medicine for high cholesterol.

But you haven’t taken the  medicine regularly. 4 months ago you purchased from Drugsale Network a box of only 30 tablets.

I bought more from another drugstore.

It's not showing on your credit card sir.

I paid in cash.

But according to your bank statement you did not withdraw that much cash.

I have another source of cash.

This is not showing on your last tax form, unless you got it from an undeclared income source.

WHAT THE HELL?  ENOUGH!   I'm sick of Google, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. I'm going to an island without internet, where there’s no cellphone line, and no one to spy on me ...

I understand sir, but you’ll need to renew your passport ... it expired 5 weeks ago.

Yes the Devil...
