With a decent FTP program (I use "Core FTP") it's kind of easy to check and see if any files on the site have been updated that shouldn't have been just by checking the file dates...

February 20, 2020, 02:47:34 PM
Ag, I did find one of the forum files that had a modification date of just a few months ago, which it shouldn't have.  So I checked and it had a hack line in it.  I took that out, and just waited to see if it helped at all...

February 20, 2020, 12:33:24 PM
Joom you get the site fixed ? It's working again . I'm dying to know what it was were it was . Lol

Hi yup I’m thinking again and we all know what happens when that starts happing .

So this idea I’m thinking is music Tada ! And an experiment of sorts Lol

Ok ? really it’s going to be a basic no challenge per theme thing .

Before I can say more I like to get a even head count of who is interested in just writing a song .

There will be a time limit like BOTB which was what 2-3 months ? But we can discuss that once the numbers of participants are tallied .

So is anyone willing ? just know I will set the most basic of rules and you must bow and Swear fidelity to the great and all powerful cough * hack # me !  (-!)

K so let me know or we just kill this now !  ::-> lol

I'm always interested in writing songs... so... yup.

In for penny in for a pound they say so my new Epiphone is on her way from Sweetwater .

When I was put on the order list I told them I’m a picky SOB and asked that when their shipment came in that I would only except well matched top and back woods and to please send me picks of the best candidate.

So they did , they also could opened the first box and said this is the best one we have lol

Anyway it’s certainly on of the best matches I’ve seen but that’s just me I’m sure there’s more out there Haha .

Biggest issue was on the backs they had some totally fugly matches like two different guitars . This one looks uniform so I like that but who looks at the back , why I do ! Lol

She’s not special nor high dollar but I have High hopes .
Here some pics of her

Yeah man... very nice.
Let's hear those humbuckers.   8)

Hey Adrien... welcome to TTM.

Keyboard huh?

Yamaha has made quality boards for decades so you probably can't go too wrong in choosing one. Bells and whistles, how many keys, the weight of the keys and how they feel... as in does it react like a piano key or is it springy plastic feel you usually get with less expensive boards...

I would ask first what are your intentions.
Do you want to be heard as in amplified
or is this just for recording...
or maybe both?
Does the board you've picked out have midi capabilities?

I just bought an Arturia Midi board... 25 keys so not really something a piano player would probably use. I got it so I could have midi capabilities... There are endless software DAWS and plugins you can utilize if you have midi capabilities... it's a whole different thing than just having some piano and organ sounds you get when you buy say a Yamaha product for a few hundred dollars.
So just some things to keep in mind moving forward..
There are more knowledgeable peeps here on this than me that can probably give you some advice... go play around at your local Sam Ash or Guitar Center you might find something you like that way as well. But yeah do your research and reviews.

Sounds pretty good in this demo... don't think it's midi though.

Rock / Fork it...
« on: September 23, 2017, 12:42:44 PM »
Errr... stick a fork in it.
What you're suppose to say when it's done... right?
I think it is... maybe some mix issues...
Just a rock tune I've been messing around with for a bit... I think I've watched too much Game of Thrones... but there are no dragons in the song.

Hi Everyone,

I just signed up as a member, based on recommendation of Agradeleous (see, I recognized your posting style without you even giving me your username!).  I consider myself a beginner at guitar (student x 3 years).  I won't be posting music, just here for the fun and to see what everyone else is doing music-wise.

Welcome to TTM Opsimath...
Don't fret your playing... errrr.... just do what you do.

When you think you've got something... don't be shy... post it!
Lots of knowledgeable folks here to help if you ask... and good listeners if you just want a critique.
Where you from?

Pretty cool Neil... honestly I don't know their music all that well... so I don't really know if you did it your way or their way. I liked it either way!
If you ever go looking for a new drummer software check out Superior Drummer... I'm telling you it's the chit!
Good playing throughout on all the instruments... I know we sometimes take that for granted round here since we all seem to play whatever we can get our hands on. It's tight!  Vocals sound good... I can't imagine what would have to happen to me to ever come close to your falsetto...  :o
 :P :P
