I had my first gig last night! Instead of collecting tips for me, I decided to make it a fundraiser.  We collected $383.25 for the local food bank!   :D

I found changing the velocity in Reason a little fiddly for my taste....but the overall SOUND of the instruments was outstanding!

Hey agr, I tried out the full version of Reason last year, but I like more control over the patterns. For my workflow I like Groove Monkee & Odd Grooves to lay down a root feel, then I go back in 90% of the time & tweak....add a ghost snare hit here, a cymbal there, etc. I found changing the velocit

Hi Dave!
Just to clarify and inform, I swapped the order of your 'center' and 'text colour' codes.
Just for future reference, you need to make your text modifications, colour/italic/bold/etc, before you designate position, center/left/right.

Otherwise the coding goes a little crazy and appears on the page and the colour doesn't change, like this (should be red).
[/color]

Don't know why that is, it just is.... LOL

Has nothing to do with your toon. Don't know what happened to that.
Ted
Thanks for clearing that up White. It's weird that it works that way and thankyou for correcting it for me.
I have no idea how the track got ejected then, Must have been another one of those glitches that happen in soundcloud.
Anyone thought about using You Tube as an uploading possibility. There is no limit and we could possible use a picture denoting month and year for our entries. Windows movie maker 6 is freely available to creat a U Toob vid from your songs.

I didn't take it down. If I had, I would have also removed the lyrics I posted along with the song link.
Under that post Whitetrad has posted he fixed the code for me (don't know what that means)??? It's a mystery but one I can't correct until Sat. I'm not on my main computer. I think there may be a post on my You Tube.  I'll look and come back.

I've heard Luke Bryan doing this and other stuff which just about makes it as country cos he's a country boy. But Neil, you are a ROCKER (don't deny it) so you sang that song rocking.(This is a compliment by the way)
It's like they say, "you gotta be black to sing the blue and you gotta be country to sing country". I've been trying for years but I still sound British. :P

See now Neil you are a rocker and just because you sing in a cowboy style don't make it country.
Don't think this is criticism. I kinda like the song and the way you did it but I'm old country and we are stuck in the past with fiddle and guitar. I didn;t mind the outlaw country til Mr Coe started heavy and dirty. Then I was lost.
I suppose I'm just another old man who don't get it.  ???

I was reflecting on the start of what was called progressive pop back in 67 when Cream, Pink FFloyd, Pretty Things and, yes, The Beatles were all experimenting with psychedelia. I seem to remember The Winter Bros and some band called Yes were just starting out . I never followed it much as I'd already turned to country via Johnny Cash. Perhaps I missed out but if anyone wants to add some guitar, I'm happy to help.

I feel like an old sailor during the wind power only days when the wind died and the ship lost it's power and momentum. There is no movement on our ship even though a couple of breezes come along from time to time. I know some of you are, like me, hanging around waiting for the wind to fill our sails and get us under way again.
I know our skipper is otherwise engaged with his other ship but I'm certain we can sail the vessel in his absence. We could break out the boats and do some rowing and towing even though it might feel like hard work for a short time but it will. in the end, find us some wind and put us under way again.
How about it shipmates?  ~:)
