OK, how about something old & something new? If you remember my microwave challenge this is a slightly different take..... ::)

This month ya get to write a song about the beverage you are drinking RIGHT NOW, as soon as you read this.. (-!)....and here is the twist...

The key of the song MUST be in the name of the beverage, and the first one..... for example...

Water = A, because it is the first NOTE KEY in the name. Ya can NOT use E

Beer = B

Soda Pop = D

If you would rather use the BRAND NAME of the drink, that is cool also....

Miller Lite = E

Folgers Coffee = F

Jack Daniels = A

You get the drift, right? ;)

Must be at least 2:30, Major or Minor, any style, any instrumentation, collabs welcome and encouraged!

This TTM ODC ends June 30th, midnight wherever you are at in the world. Voting until July 5th, winner TBA July 6th.

OK folks, lets have some FUN!!   )(?  8)

Open DAW Challenge (the ODC) / May 2019 ODC - Please Mr. Postman
« on: May 08, 2019, 05:04:04 AM »
OK, who here remembers letters? Ya know, those things that show up in a box outside yer home, or that you place a stamp on to send along.... ::)

The mission, if ya decided to accept it, is to write a song about letters...with this twist....

The first 1/2 of the song has to be about the FIRST letter you receive today, be it junk mail or not. And the 2nd 1/2 has to be about the LAST letter you sent out this week....boxes / parcels do not count.  ;D

Any style, minimum 2:30, collabs welcome (one write the 1st half, the other the second, etc)...funny, serious, gripe about the postman, whatever ya feel like.  :P

Let the games begin!  ::->  ~:)  8)

OK, this year I told myself I was updating to the Audiophile version of BiaB, but once again I went overboard on other things so.. >:(..I guess I will wait another year for it.

This release, along with the 49Pak and XtraPak6, has a LOT of styles & features that I am really excited about.. :o...the new Rock/Pop/Country styles have more BG vocals, and they are continuing to bring in "new blood" to perform on the styles, so the feels are more up to date.

Now the program is 64bit (YES!  ::->) and it has a pretty cool VST feature I am looking forward to using.  ;D

Overall, for the 3rd year in a row, they have released a good one!  8)

Other / MConvolutionEZ Reverb Software
« on: November 04, 2018, 05:15:37 AM »
Hey folks, the MFreeFXBundle from Melda has always been a great set of plugins At Our Favorite Price Point™, but this time around they have added a Convolution Reverb that is flat out easy to use.

I have been a user of the S.I.R reverb software since....before baseball....lets just say a LONG time. The MConvolutionEZ software is VERY close to replacing it ATM for a few reasons..

1. The Main Controls you need are right in front, no "unnecessary" controls to be found.  ;D

2. The CPU hit is much less than S.I.R., which is always a good thing.  ~:)

3. The included IR's sound great  ::->

4. The Price  (-!)

It is included in the MFreeFXBundle , and in that collection there are some really nice compressors, etc.

Hope This Helps!  8)

Other / Vocal Doubler
« on: October 13, 2018, 07:02:38 PM »
Hey folks, here is a plugin that we all can use, called Vocal Doubler from iZotope.....

You have a few hoops to jump thru, but not to bad, and it is at Our Favorite Price Point!  8)

PGMusic is having another contest for the folks that bought the newest Xtra Style Pak 5, and after I heard this rhythm track I knew i had to do this one. I used the Rhythm from the Pak, but layerd 3 diffrent Lead Instruments from other packs along with a few of the newest Vocal "Ohhs & Ahhs"

OK Folks, it has been awhile, but how many feel the time is right for another TTM Album?  ~:)

If so, I would like to nominate The Cottonwood Blues Band's entry into this years BOTB. It was a fun track that turned out great IMHO....... ;D 8)

Ardour / MixBus / New Mixbus Course at 1/2 price
« on: May 25, 2018, 03:46:53 PM »
Tho I have not been posting in this section (hope to change that this summer) I am still using Mixbus and investing in the Harrison plugins for it. In the mean time for all you folks that do use Mixbus here is a great course for 1/2 price....

$15 is not a At Our Favorite Price Point™ price, but it IS cheap, and this course is worth it. I learned a few tricks in it (mainly VCA's) so it is worth the $$. I am using Mixus 32c, and at this time could not be happier.

Hope This Helps! 8)

Other / MSpectralDelay At Our Favorite Price Point™ till 6-3-18
« on: May 21, 2018, 04:56:15 PM »
Here is a fun one to have, I am wasting WAY too much time on this months TTM ODC playing with this! If ya like delays of all types give this a go, and ya have nothing to lose at the price it is going for......

Hope This Helps!  8)

Other / Great Deal For Mixbus Users!
« on: March 23, 2018, 07:57:04 PM »
Mixbus has been sending out these "whats in the box" sales at the rate of one plugin per sale, and thne it is over. I just received an email that you can once again pick up a Free EQ and 3 $9.81 plugins, 2 compressor's and 1 de-esser.

I missed the Look Ahead Comp & De-Esser the first time around, so this was perfect timing for me! If ya use Mixbus & would like to grab some great plugins (even if they are not At Our Favorite Price Point™) then here is the link....I hope it works...

Another Low End saver, this free-b really does do what it says it will. I have been using a new bass & placed some flats on an old one, and working on dialing them in. This & the MJUC jr has really helped me do this.....

You have to join the site and once again jump thru some hoops, but once again this plugin is worth it if your dealing with bass.  ~:)

Hope This Helps!  8)
