Hmmm seems I can’t keep track of where I post stuff lol

Anyway ok so my entertainment unit is coming along and it’s all ready for the dividers .

In short what a pain and how stupid am I ? Lol ok so the unit is not perfectly square anywhere ( not my fault ) I’m building off a prebuilt framing .

So the top of unit is 1/4 inch off from the bottom . The beams/dividers are 3” thick so using a skill saw is a pain as it can’t do a cut in one pass , not deep enough. I’d love to have all the right tools and a shop to do it right but I’m stuck in that sense .

Anyway I had to cut the first divider all good a few trips back and forth to fine tune the cut , once in I forgot about the that 1/4 inch difference.

So with my skill saw I started to cut it but dang the thing got over loaded and over heated trying to rip the yellow pine the heat started causing to much pressure on the blade and started to warp and started cutting into a curve . 😠 so end result one F’d up custom board !

Ok so lesson learned cutting the ends all good , trying to cut/rip a 8ft 3” thick board F/ Fsiled lol

Ok so yeah I want 10.25 skill saw that would go it in one pass but there 300 bucks and I just cut like 20pcs as I go not in one lump sum .

I ain’t paying 300+ for a saw I use for one project . Do back to thinking ( is that smoke ? Why yes ! ) I have a little table saw 10” blade but originally I did consider it as the beams/ boards well out weigh and out size the table saw 10 fold .

Well after the failure with the skill saw I bought new blades for it , came home and looked at that little table saw again .  I cranked the blade up and I’ll be dang I get 3 1/4 inches .  Well now I have to try it but I know it will be extremely slow cutting geez it’s only 15amp along with it’s pathetic fence but it’s all I have .

So because this is a toy I need a feed and exit table to handle the length .
Harbor Freight to the rescue! I bought 2 roller stands a new 20” blade along with the 7 1:4 blades for the skill saw but it took multiple trips to HF to get it right lol .

So tomorrow I’ll try again and I have no clue if little table buddy can handle the cuts 😞

What I meant by not giving crap was just the reading of posts me repeating why I can’t enter this or that challenge not that didn’t care about me personally but I thank you for guns and beer , there was beer right ?

I was going to post thread on the topic about me but I didn’t . I already said my situation more then enough times to feel no one gave a crap lol which is right after all I repeated myself enough times .

On the challenge I just say my peace .  At the moment which has been on going for awhile , I’m not interested about the topics . I truly don’t know why as I remember my beginnings with you all and journey and the end result Which everyone here has helped me to achieve and for that I thank you !

I got to deep into buying guitars doing repairs etc it’s like a drug to be honest and has got out way out of hand lol so I’m slowing down selling the ones not needed keeping the ones that I feel will help me to create with thier diversity but time will tell .

I have projects and my home is a mess , is your a mess ? I don’t feel happy . I love but hate my job . I truly don’t paid enough I’m actually 14,000 under paid but I’m stuck . I also have a son to raise . Now think about income vrs bills and in my case I ride the wire and i’m Sure when you struggle financially none of use are bubbly happy .  I struggle to maintain my home and the must haves that our society says we have to have and I’m getting very angry over the whole thing about inflation and no wage adjustments. My son is a growing boy and those who have sons can agree they living eating pooping machine let activity costs .

That won’t change for me so in a sense since I can’t do much so the guitars became my crutch!

Let me touch again on the challenges . First I think there great especially for new blood I feel strongly are old asses need to rope new folks in ! I gave promoted the forum to do many I can’t count and still do when the opportunity presents itself.

Challenges for me I’d rather focus on my own style of writing and ideas .
I’m not motivated to write about a defined subject at this point .

Maybe that will change in time but honestl I can’t when .
We need new blood to fill the voids ! So start selling !

I see plenty of guests showing up though I don’t know if there bots or spammers but we need to find a way to point them in our direction .

If your not interested in bring new blood in then we deal with our short fallings and just press on .

Luv u guys each and everyone of you past and present!!!
Ugh if there typos I’m to tired to fix lol

Ever experience the feeling of dajavue ?
I’m out and thing is I really wanted to start a come back on this one . Time is flying by and I’m still doing projects that distract me .
That dang recording desk project is another thing I’m behind on and that’s one crucial things I need done for music but I have get the entertainment center done .

It’s taken a ton of time and will take more only because I have no shop and doing this stuff outdoors kind of sucks .

I almost have the inside perimeter done another week at least then the shelving which are more like beams . I have a hard time lifting the small ones by myself let alone the larger ones .

Thing is I don’t have help often and I have to take them out one at a time and sand them raise the grain let dry and repeat . Then start the staining process. Flipping these things over on a saw horse will challenging lol

When it comes time clear coat that ensues more time 2 day drying per side then sand recoat weather permitting so say a week for each one if I have help handling them .

Please winter hold off lol

How do I get myself into these things 😑

Rainy day so I decided to make my first Fossilized Walrus saddle for the Blueridge 283a

Didn’t take as long as I thought ! Funny what a belt sander can do lol
I didn’t have to compensate as the intonation is plus or minus .5 cent on each string that’s about as good as good as it gets lol

Anyway here some pics .
