Flash was supposed to be dead by now, White, but it's hanging in there.  Quite a few places still using it.

And they do come out with security updates quite often now, which was supposed to be the downfall.

I thought Flash was on it's way out. Several browsers are not bothering with it..... Not before time, in my opinion.....

Easy fix.  Everybody here gets together, creates a song that sells to Hollywood for a small fortune, then everybody here gets a new computer and software of choice.

Hey, could happen.   8)

Firefox allows a slightly newer version that is still above the minimum standard, but even that is going to expire soon.....thanks a bunch Microsoft for stopping support so the developers follow like sheep lol it's not so much the OS I object to, it's having to buy a new computer that will run it...

Didn't you know FX? Once there's enough spinners spinning they'll generate a standing wave which will blank out your hard drive....it's a cunning plan....

New Mic
« on: March 04, 2017, 06:50:55 AM »
got a new mic. I was using a Rode NT1A but I won a gift voucher from Amazon for £35. This mic, an AKG P5 (Perception) was given a good review. Some reviewers rated it higher than the Shure 58.
So I used my voucher and made a purchase. It was £36 with free postage so I figured I'd got a deal.
I am a condenser mic user for vocals in the studio but I have to say my first few recordings with this mic blew me away. It's noe my main microphone and, until I get another, will remain so. I shall still keep the Rode as I record other singers with that one.
Here's a 'well known' example of the AKG (attached)
What a pity we can't know in advance who the spoiling minority are!

Nice Dave and a good score . I just a new mic as well and it's Dynamic from my poormans test it's pretty good . From what I'm reading and I could wrong on points but dynamic Mics or mine as it says is designed specifically for vocals and live performance . What I'm taking away from is the frequency response db's and KHz -Hz
Not sure but my mic seems to give the vocals more air , this might be in my head but I think the Mics through better then the condensers either way it's a great add in to the mic locker ;) enjoy your new mic :)

Nice find, W, good luck with it...
A computer once beat me at chess, but as it turns out it was no match for me at kickboxing...
