Once in a blue moon I binge drink on Friday night darts but that’s a summer gig outside on the deck with the pool and bbq . My altered state needs no enhancements lol

Me too RJ, I brew my own beer and distill spirits (making a really fine bourbon these days) and have just started wine making. My peach wine is a peach, as  we wine makers say, very drinkable, with a hint of peach. Can't remember tho last time I was drunk,  not because I was drunk, just too long ago

I'm an avid homebrewer with a few beers on tap at all times.  Having said that, I hate even feeling tipsy let alone drunk.  So I'm like Whitestrat in that I may have 1 or 2 over the course of an evening but that's it.

Never been much of a drinker. I don't abstain, but 1 or 2 drinks, over a couple of hours, is more than enough for me....
You might be right, neil....  :P

Alcohol is so very "college" for me.  I drank a lot of it back in college.  Didn't drink any in HS. After graduate school, it became sort of ho-hum.  Now, occasionally I'll have a beer at a restaurant with dinner. I don't even keep them at the house.  Now, Diet Coke on the other hand...

Used to drink soda (pop) a long time back, but got so I didn't care for anything carbonated.  I do miss a good Root Beer once in a while - with ice cream...

Yeah, but I gave up alcohol back in the early '70's.  Been coffee ever since.  4-5 cups an hour when I'm home, 2-3 an hour when I'm out working.  Every place I work knows they get a better deal if they keep coffee handy...

Alcohol would seem more appropriate...a lot of alcohol ::)

« on: February 06, 2016, 05:17:59 PM »
Hey! I had a message the other day on my facebook page from a radio station in San Francisco called power FM and they wanted me to drop them an email...now, not being naieve but what usually happens in these sort of conversations?  Im assuming they want to play my songs but i dont have them copywrited, so am unsure...anyone on here from SF and has heard of them?

Just checked, KT, and it seems they've done the same to a number of people on FB.  If it's legit, it seems they're looking for new music for their rotation.

By the way, when you create a song, copyright in general is automatic.  Not a true copyright, but would hold legally.  Lot of info our there on the subject, but here's one link:

http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/copyright-automatic.html

Worth checking with them to see what they're offering.  Money is always nice, but initial exposure is a good thing too.

Very cool, by the way...  ;)

Sounds interesting KT!

In Canada at least, copyright is automatic when you have your song recorded on permanent media (CD,Tape etc)... I'd imagine a hard drive counts nowadays too lol
It never hurts to "register" it though...
We have a "depository" here available to members of the Songwriters Association of Canada, worth checking out what you have in the UK - surely something similar...

Be sure to do your homework and sign nothing :P :P

Sound like a plan, KT.  As Neil mentioned, be careful, but it could be something.

Let us know where it goes...

Yes, thats them gc! I still see myself as someone who makes music because I like the process rather than the idea of making it big, but it is nice to get random feedback!
