Got my tools and jobsite burned up, the wife broke her arm, and I destroyed the transmission in my car.  >:( And still two weeks to go this month...

I never use it anymore....not for years now.....but it was my only DAW for a long long time.....and the whole reason I’m even here in the first place  ;D

June 14, 2018, 12:39:34 PM
All the KAE folks are over here now agr, but I WOULD be curious as to how many still use KAE as their DAW? I pull it out for a challenge every now and then, and still find it totally useable.... 8)

Had a lot of fun watching the granddaughter's dance recital, but man that was a long ride.  Need a day to recover.  And they wouldn't even let me take pictures or record video...  >:(

Open DAW Challenge (the ODC) / Re: Rise Above - June 2018 challenge
« Last post by RedJoker on Yesterday at 08:48:10 PM »
With great irony, I'm no sure I'll be able to 'rise above' for this challenge.  It's turning out that my ideas are bigger than my current skill-set.  I simply have NOT been able to play what I hear in my head!   :'(

If my schedule changes, I might be able to try again later but I'm not hopeful.

Edit: I just realized I may have one more shot at recording. Even if I simplify from what I wanted, it still counts, right?  ???

Also, if anyone sees that missing beat in the chorus, can you send it back my way?  I'm seems to routinely wander off when I'm trying to record the guitar part...
Alternative / a little bit of classicality

I used to enjoy playing classical music ( when I could play it, long ago now), but don't worry. This is nowt to be scared of. It has a good 'toon' and is well known - and it's about a premature burial, so- as I say, nowt to be skeered of. Hope y'all might like it.

I found out you can claim your artists pages on Spotify etc and update them.  Well, it would be rude not to......

(I have since updated it, as I'd mis-spelt Prize as Price!!)

Thanks guys
I really thought this was dead and floating belly up in the water, so it was nice to receive your replies.
Joom, what can I say? I'll let you off... just this once, mind I too don't seem to have enough hours in the day just lately. Really pleased that you liked it.
Thanks to you also. Again, glad that you enjoyed it.
I was just watching an old vid of Pussycat doing "Mississippi." Not that it's anything to do with anything, but eee, those were the days when you got your money's worth if you bought a record. Not like the tosh they sell you these days, at about three or four times the price and have the nerve to call music... or am I just getting old. Anyhow, thanks for replying, my mate and pleased this met with your approval. Appreciated.
I didn't see this film, but when I was looking for the song, I did find the start of it... a fight on top of Ayers Rock - and yes, you're right about George Lazenby. Can't comment on the  "witless display of non-stop mayhem" though. As I say, didn't see it.

That tune is made with samples and loops from Mixcraft's library. I've forgotten why I called it Red Surf  :D

Nice.  I figured you made it, but wasn't sure...

"a witless display of non-stop mayhem", which therefore makes it a forerunner of every film made today.
Totally and utterly agree. Can't find 1 in 100 that isn't exactly the same as the one before especially out of Hollywood.

Another good one Bri. Very professional.

I meant to have a listen when it first came up, but it slipped thru the cracks. Probably with my car keys and mobile phone.

BTW, this was an Australian film, from the 70's/80's with one time (literally and figuratively) James Bond - George Lazenby as the main villan. I enjoyed it when I saw it, but I see that it was reviewed by the Observer as  "a witless display of non-stop mayhem", which therefore makes it a forerunner of every film made today.  ::->
