I never use it anymore....not for years now.....but it was my only DAW for a long long time.....and the whole reason I’m even here in the first place  ;D

All the KAE folks are over here now agr, but I WOULD be curious as to how many still use KAE as their DAW? I pull it out for a challenge every now and then, and still find it totally useable.... 8)

Had a lot of fun watching the granddaughter's dance recital, but man that was a long ride.  Need a day to recover.  And they wouldn't even let me take pictures or record video...  >:(

Video - Other / Re: Stamp Out Those Bugs
« on: June 15, 2018, 11:10:55 AM »
That tune is made with samples and loops from Mixcraft's library. I've forgotten why I called it Red Surf  :D

Nice.  I figured you made it, but wasn't sure...

Cool video, W, and nice shirt.

Where did the tune come from?

FL Studio / Re: New FL Studio Version...

It is kind of a complex system, Bri, but once you figure out the basics it's a fun system to play with.  Lots of options and ways to work with things...

Glad you posted again on this, Bri, I had missed it before.  Been extremely occupied for a while.

I did enjoy it.  Always liked that song, and thought you did a great job on it.  Just sorry I didn't catch it sooner...

Good song, W.  The tune reminds me a little of one I did a while back.

I don't think you'd ever posted it, I don't remember hearing it before this...

Yup, I miss a lot of the members we've had here over the years who have been absent for the past 1-6 years.  I remember quite a few that we had a lot of fun with here.

I guess life gets in the way, or people just move on to other things, but it would be good to see them all stop in sometime and catch us up on how they're doing and what they've been up to...

Battle of the Bands / Re: BOTB 2018 - Bands and Details
« on: June 06, 2018, 02:17:31 AM »
Quite the grouping, Neil.  Should be a very interesting BotB this time.

We have company coming in the morning for an overnight, and I have a 12 hour computer day scheduled for Friday, but I'll be getting with you and Red this weekend to see what everyone has in mind.

These things are always great, looking forward to the 2018 hits coming out of this one...  (-!)

FL Studio / New FL Studio Version...
« on: June 04, 2018, 11:39:39 AM »
I'm pretty sure nobody else here uses FL Studio, but I've always had fun playing with it.

Just got the email that version 20 is available.  They went directly from version 12 to version 20, apparently to mark their 20th anniversary.  One of the things I like about FL Studio (besides it being a fun and useful program) is that it comes with lifetime free updates.

Anyway, no big deal, like I said I don't think anybody else here uses it.  But I'll be downloading the update tonight and giving it a try.

For anybody that might be interested, here's a video showing some of the updated features.  *It doesn't show any of the standard features, if you've never seen FL Studio there are other videos that show the FL Studio basics.

Works in Progress / Re: lyricist and vocalist needed
« on: June 02, 2018, 03:48:25 PM »
Great tune, RK.  Normally I'd jump in with a set of possible lyrics, but the little bit of extra coffee time I've had in the last few weeks I've been trying to get some lyrics down for another tune that has me writing something, saying "Nah", rewriting, and repeating.

I'm sure somebody will jump in here with something great, but if not, and I get the other one done, I'll give it a shot.  Either way, it will be fun to see how this comes out...

Open DAW Challenge (the ODC) / Re: May ODC Results!

Congrats Neil and G.  As said, and as always, great tunes in there.

So, does the outstanding quality of this collab mean we're going to be seeing a G/Neil album coming out in the future?  8)
