At this point, I definitely have much more than was lost....or could have been lost....so have to look on the bright side

I hear ya JM , I think my biggest issue is my house and all the unfinished projects . It’s make heard to enjoy playing .

I can’t remember if you play acoustic or electric but if acoustic maybe true some open tunings. Pick one stay with it a bit until something develops .

I also enjoy heading out to a good music store and check out all the guitars I’m interested in even ones I can’t afford . Lol hmm some how I end up with one anyway .  ::)

Anyway I find again that I’m not at overly happy place and that plays a major role .

So I’m going camping for a week , taking a break gunna sit by the fire , read a good book etc . I won’t have a guitar and makes me sad lol as I don’t have a fire pit guitar anymore , need to fix that .

Ok I’m done be good find your happy place ;)

Yup, I miss a lot of the members we've had here over the years who have been absent for the past 1-6 years.  I remember quite a few that we had a lot of fun with here.

I guess life gets in the way, or people just move on to other things, but it would be good to see them all stop in sometime and catch us up on how they're doing and what they've been up to...

Funny what gets a little bit of attention. No disrespect intended.
Thing is don’t forget those not here because unless they went to GOD they can still be checking in , even those upstairs .

Interesting that lafreash was mentioned Al  , though more in your neck of the woods he’s been involved in more hometown interests .

Thing is please don’t forget because you never know the reason why their gone .
I’d like to add Franks to the list though not musically active he’s still here .😁

The between we keep members in heart the better we can expand. That’s what us different then the other sites

Al , yup I been absent from the music side . Mostly it’s been because I’m devoting my time to acoustic guitars which is my love .

Thing is not many here will carry on a in depth conversation about them .
With my passion of getting new Guiars I almost feel like it’s demeaning to post here.
No doubt you folks are over it since it has been quite repetitious from my side .
I go to sites that share my interests .

Another thing is my recording space is not a comfortable thing fior me at the moment and that’s important .

Also the challenges have not captured my interest not that there not challenging but just not sparking creativity in my state of mind .

Again no disrespect it’s all on me . I know if I could just say screw you to the everyday crap which I did when I joined up and then after till , well you know .... now I’m a single dad and not that it takes more dedicated time but as well as you others know it robs you of the freedom of creativity. One could only hope your off spring is supportive and willing to participate but no not the case lol so time for you find your mojo is but a dream .

I’m reduced to doing poor mans demo’s of a guitars tonal qualitites and I’m lucky to get that recorded. Lol
No matter what though I’m spaced out at this time , I will always support TTM 😁
Which I think my recruiting effort has proven , though limited lol I still hunt for our betterment  !!

Now come on ! Karma is still a member and maybe I’m over stepping my bounds but if you remember those who might have strayed away for whatever reason as long as it was not a violent situation we still should support are brothers !

I miss karms participation here , I miss Fordy , I miss GC , Combobob , I miss Bri though pops in once in awhile , I miss Jahnva ! And everyone else that’s not here .

Now I guess my rant is we used to love these folks when they were here why do we not support the occasional pop up mention of a member that has not been around in a while ?

Does it say something about us ? Maybe about me ? As I been absent so to say as far as participation ?

Oh I miss Spock/ sprocket lol

I also miss Spiral .

Thing is , greatness or great members history is past on by story and support to carry on what help shaped TTM .

So I say kneee onto you , knee , knee ,knee .
 😝

Still around ? Well yuppers not sure when we’ll here from him but because I missed him along with our other members that have faded into life’s demands I figure we could use a dose of Karm .

So put your seatbelts on and enjoy , maybe drop him a reply on YouTube.😁

:P :P

If you were able to pick the lock on the bar door, there's no way anyone here could say you're acting stupid, Ag.  ;)

I used to always build my own systems, but this one I ordered as a custom build 3 years ago.  Got it for not much more than all the parts would have cost, and the builder had a good rep, so I went for it.  And a couple months ago I ordered a replacement mother board, processor, memory, and other parts in case anything starts failing on it.

Anyway, like I've always told customers/clients/family/friends - if you like what you have and it works, good enough.  And, in my business, I don't mind when clients buy something I advise them not to, because I always get a call and get to bill.  Win win...  ;D

Hah ! Job security! Just like the state lmfao .
I wish I had your smarts . Still can’t figure two HD’s but to my defense I keep thinking accessing it should be bloody easier lol then that pain in the ass formatting and it’s wtf partitioning  .

Someone should come up with a better system lol

Yup true that so it’s a matter of needs so to say when it comes to w10
So like for me I just use to record and pay bills and some surfing . 95% of time I’m using the the IPhone to dork around buy and shop lol

And I said gaming tower because they look cool as crap haha but by no means would I say buy one prebuilt !!  You can make it faster , stronger , able to leap tall buildings in a single bound ! Lol

And I was serious about this super card something thing lol I seen it and read it just can’t remember what it was otherwise lmao 😜

Just thinking out loud if I were back tracking in software ( which is a Matter of perspective) for the main purpose of recording I’m thinking to keep that pc off line in fear of corruption. You know porn sites and all lol but when does support run out and what would it take to keep it secure if you use it for every day travels among the web if the world ?

Certainly I don’t have a clue and now I bow before greatness O’master
Oh by the way I picked the lock on bar door soooo if I’m acting stupid tell me to shut up ! Lol

Wow guys hate to hear you have issues with W10
I’ve had know such issues and it asks me when I want to do upgrades not it doing it when it wants at least that I know of . I mean what it does when I go to sleep I have no clue no wait it can’t do much but that could be because I use that shut down feature lol

Anyway no issues on my end knock on wood ,Now Joom you need one of gaming towers with super cooling technology 8 fans 16 hd’s , mini nuclear reactor power block and that shark something or other super fast card in it . A optional pizza oven and coffee machine would nice too . Lol

Guitars / Guild F55E burst
« on: May 25, 2018, 09:26:57 AM »
Well , I did it again but in my defense I sold my D55 and I wasn’t sure exactly what was going to be next .

I follow Guild lover posted he’s new Guild F55E . I’ve always wanted the Guild F50R ever since I got my F212XlCE ( jumbo 12 string Sitka and mahogany) The F50r is Sitka top and Rosewood back and sides. I wanted a New Hartford built model which was Guilds latest plant and favored as building the best models Guilds to date .

Then Fender sold Guild to Cordoba and closed the NH plant and moved everything to California and after a few years thier up and running .

Used prices were up there on this model and after a bit these guitars just disappeared . Older models became available but every one want mid 2,000 up to 3,500 for 1970 models , geez O’Petes !

Come full circle a NH F50r came up for sale in Canada yeah the only one for sale between the USA and Canada that I could find .

I bought it ! But I use PayPal credit and abuse thier 6 month zero interest zero payments  option but it does not function in Canada yet so sale was a bust .

Kind of a bummer but then said Guild member popped up with NGD post .
With the newly released Guild F55E which is the new F50R .

Ok so his guitar was a demo that the sales Rep used and he bought for 2,500 and he’s review was quite impressive!

My guild lovers had/ have lots of doubts of How these Guilds will turn out .
I expressed my interest in the model and he hooked me up with the same shop and they had another a model available for 3,000 I got for the same 2,500 hundred. The guitar is a sunburst is it perfect being a demo ? Almost lol the burst is a little off center other wise the guitar is mint !

No user wear and the NCL Finish is still off gassing it’s like factory freash .
The case is top of line gator skin and the E designation means electric and it’s sporting a LR BAGGS Anthem pickup system .

This guitars street price is 3,800 hundred do my 2,500 makes it real easy to over look the offset burst but I don’t see it when I play lol

Now this girl is big her lower bout is 17 1/4 inches and her voice is unbelievable. Though Ren Ferguson is no longer with Guild he was there setting up the new plant and he redesigned the bracing along side his coworker and luthier who worked under him .
Ren during the NH years introduced the Orphium line which was his take on what a Guild guitar would have been like if they were in business when Gibson and Martin Started mean the 30’and 40’s .

The Orphiums are designed and built to reflect the tone and build techniques of those eras .

The bracing was a unique design for these compared to all the other guilds and this bracing design with a few tweaks is what’s in the new F55 . Lighter bracing allowing thinner top more vibration and awesome tone .

Now dont get me wrong though the wood is thinner and the bracing is lighter it’s still very strong and there’s a little bracing added in spots that never had it .

Ok enough Sorry I just this stuff 😁
Here a few pics and I’m working on a demo .
