Well then.  Had to go do some work at a school this evening, and got wrapped up in their Christmas Party.  One of the students was performing.  Acoustic, electric, and slide.  Not a bad player or singer.

They offered food, but I had to work on stuff...

When the site got hacked a couple months or so ago, that was wiped out.  Song files, software, everything.  Now I have to rebuild a facility for that, but I don't have copies of all the archived songs...

In the "Additional Menu" above the shoutbox, Red, you'll see an option for "ODC Archives".  That was a place I set up to store archives from all our ODC challenges...

all the best papaG.
as for the archives, I did a fair bit in creating them originally. Did we get them from old Soundclick pages? If I get time, I will see what still exists out there...

After hearing Smurf's effort with band in a box, I decided to give it a go.

It arrived this afternoon, so this is my 3 hour effort including the instal time.

Basically I gave it a chord progress and it did most of the rest. I exported the individual tracks to upload to Studio 1 to do the vocals and remix and  pan the BiaB tracks and chop some things out.

So I've got almost no idea how to use it, but happy with what it came up with. Can see it as a great tool to get things started or to add additional instruments in.

It's not a complete song, only got one verse but anyway here you go.

Congrats, Mr. B......  :D
Nice track......  8)

Which version did you get. I have an old one and haven't really worked out fully what it can do.

Did you d/l a wave or the midi tracks. I usually get the midi tracks and then get to messing around with them in Sonar. There are some really cool instrument VSTis around, and at our fave price point, too!  ;)

Have fun!

Nice one, Buster.  BiaB is definitely fun to play with.  Another (less functional, but much less expensive) backing program I like to play with is "Chord Pad".  Easy to use and also fun.

In any case, really good tune...

Thanks Joom/White.

Like all these things White it's got me a bit confused. The version simply says "2017 with RealBand".

I've got some patches to update.

The install gave me 2 desktop icons, RealBand - which I used for this piece and Band in a Box - which looks like something similar but older and less friendly that I have tried out yet.

Looking forward to a couple of days messing around and maybe using it to add some stuff to things I already recorded in Studio 1.

I've got some patches to update.

I just updated to build 470 this evening, Buster.  Haven't played with it yet.

If you play around with both BiaB and Realband you'll see the difference, and figure out when you want to use which...
