Well then.  Had to go do some work at a school this evening, and got wrapped up in their Christmas Party.  One of the students was performing.  Acoustic, electric, and slide.  Not a bad player or singer.

They offered food, but I had to work on stuff...

When the site got hacked a couple months or so ago, that was wiped out.  Song files, software, everything.  Now I have to rebuild a facility for that, but I don't have copies of all the archived songs...

In the "Additional Menu" above the shoutbox, Red, you'll see an option for "ODC Archives".  That was a place I set up to store archives from all our ODC challenges...

all the best papaG.
as for the archives, I did a fair bit in creating them originally. Did we get them from old Soundclick pages? If I get time, I will see what still exists out there...

Drums Old & New....
« on: August 08, 2017, 06:37:03 PM »
Hey Folks, just a quick post about a couple New & Old Drum VSTi's.

New to me....

Sean Pandy Drums.....

http://free.chokehold.net/sean-pandy-drums/

A VERY heavy Rock / Metal sample set that works well with the following old favorite...

MTPower Drum Kit.....

http://www.powerdrumkit.com/

The big news about MTPower Drum Kit is no more net registration, YES! Ya just have to press a "Skip" button at startup, which means you can load this on more than one system very easily. Since my studio system does not get on the net, I have had to do without this plug in for a few, but now I can load it on my System AND my laptop without net access.

MTPower Drum Kit also has a fantastic selection of Midi loops to build a good sounding drum track. Tho only 4/4 & 6/8, it does cover a lot of area IMHO.

Oh, and did I mention that BOTH of these are At Our Favorite Price Point™?  ~:)

Anyhoo, it has been a long time since I posted anything about VST-VSTi's  (!:) (I think we found all the good ones!) and this thread needed some cobwebs blown off of it...  ;)

Hope This Helps! 8)

Ok, I give up...how do you get it to work with MTPower? lol
As much as I like the MTPower kit, I've often wondered how to load a different kit or trigger a different kit with it just for fun....

I've tried using it as a midi output but i think i'm doing something wrong... using Reaper btw...

Hey Neil, I will try to get a vid up for you a little later tonight, in the meantime along with MTPower Drums make sure you grab the Midi Mappings from this page....

http://www.powerdrumkit.com/presets.htm

Go ahead & grab them all so ya have them, but the main one ya want is the GM Standard mapping. If you watch the video at the time mark mentioned in the text on that page you will see how to load the mapping....

I am also using Reaper, so this should be easy!

Anywho, let me know if it helped, or just confused the heck out of ya.. ???...and I will try to get another one up in a day or so....... :(  8)
