Eat your heart out Macca
« on: September 12, 2013, 11:22:59 AM »
Steve the Ozzie vocalist of note to all here at TTM asked me to sing a lead vox on one of Paul's songs, viz: Eleanor Rigby.  :o
I am not keen to do Beatles covers because I can't but he (Schprocket) kept knowing at my elbow and I tried and tried.
I probably could do better with a few hundred takes and some editing but I'd lose the fun element so we just went ahead and mixed one down.
Steve is on great backing vocals which enhances the whole thing.
Thanks for the push Steve. Here is the mix.

Cool stuff, guys.  Sounds like it was a fun one to do...

When  I heard Dave's last Moody Blues cover, I thought he was ready to give a few other tracks a try.

You've done a good job on this one, mate - I like it :)

Hi W
Nowt wrong wi' this, mate. I think you did a wise move not trying to get this perfect, 'cos it'll always have your take on it anyway, so it's great as it stands. Good of Steve to push ya into doing it also, so well done Steve. As always
Take care,
Bri

Never truer words said, Bri; sums exactly what I wanted to say. Thanks mate :)
