One EQ, One Compressor, One Reverb

Over on the Reaper Forum they are have a for-fun little "mix-off" challenge that has been pretty fun so far.

The challenge is to use just one EQ, one Compressor, and one Reverb of your choice to mix a song. The song chosen is in the thread, and you can place your entries in This Thread

Not a contest, just a little fun to prove a point. Mine is in, and so far the rest have been pretty cool to listen to! Now if they all would supply the .rpp file we could get a peak at the "inner workings" of how the tracks were mixed.

SO much depends on if you have the same effects, and that is why I skipped my beloved Breverb 2 for the Reaverb plugin...which I have never liked, but hey, it is for fun!

Anyhoo, thought I would give a heads up for all the Reaper users on here, come on over & join in the fun!  8)

All the contest entries are to be at -15 or so, give or take a db, for comparison purposes...so here is my track at my "mixed" volume.... :P  8)

Smurf,

Just had a listen... loved it! That was a great tune! All around top notch!

Is that you on vox? Who played what and what mic's did you use?

That's one of my faves from your camp!

That sounded great! Let's do it again!
