Another New guitar day
« on: November 29, 2011, 11:45:50 AM »
Santa came early to our house this year..LOL

Got this Epiphone Dot semi-hollowbody yesterday and spent last night putting on new strings and setting it up. It plays smooth, easy, and the tone is just what I was looking for in a clear, jazzy style sound. Can't wait to get some recording done 8)

Nice.  Very nice... :D
A computer once beat me at chess - but as it turns out it was no match for me at kickboxing... ;)

I love that finish!  ;D A great change from the typical red you see on these.  ;)  8)

The finish is John Lennon inspired, so says Epiphone. Apparently, John sanded the thick laquer and red sunburst paint off of his Epiphone Casino and finished it with a light urathane (sp) leaving a natural light wood that could breathe and gave it a much warmer sound. I don't know about all that, but I do know that I think it looks great also 8)
