Hey Guys,
Well you can tell summer is here! Now having to mow weekly on the front forty and every other on the back.  I also been spending lots of time in the woods shooting video and some separate audio stuff.  Got eat up by chiggers the first day recording wearing shorts! LOL, fixed that the next day LOL, tore me up.  I have been getting some remarkable video though of all sorts of birds from eagles to sparrows.  I have hours and hours to edit LOL.  Good thing we bought the 1TB drive before Lynette lost her job LOL

I think it was Schprocket that said we would be getting another one soon.  All I can say is yep.

Still waiting on the insurance to settle up on Lynettes last accident where she got hit parked. I told her I was going to paint a bulls eye on her trunk.

While I was in the woods I came up with an idea to help me with my little HD Camcorder and shooting moving subjects.  Hard as hell to do even with the 3" screen much less keep it steady too.  So I made me a Camera Cane.  Check it out.  I swear if you make one you will love it.  Taking preorders now LOL

The loud bird calls a couple times in the background of my narrative is the two buzzards in the tree behind me.

Later, off to the shop for a wee bit of work.

Hi Dave:
It really does work well.  Make yourself one and you will really enjoy it.  Cost too much to get patent LOL

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around much lately but since the wife lost her job last month I have been hustling around to make a few bucks.  So I thought I would try making and selling a few kazoos and listed them on Ebay a couple days ago and just got my first order for twelve ladies teak ones! :)  So in the shop early tomorrow to get started filling this order.  I also finished my new music CD and sold one of those from the website so far.  It's suppose to be on amazon, itunes and etunes the middle of next month!!!  And the grass just keeps growing for me to mow LOL :o  Here's my kazoo video.

Cheers,
Butch

I finished an electric drum box (cajon) today and made a sound test video for the customer.  Thought I would show it off LOL!  I started making my drum boxes electric a couple months ago and people really love'em.  This one is the best yet I do believe.  It sounds fantastic both as an acoustic and electric.

The audio is made with my cheapo flipcam microphone.  I wish I would have had time to mic properly, record and mix it with kristal.  Just didn't have time tonite.  Hope you find it interesting at the least.

Thanks Joom, sounds much better with a proper mic.  I did some line in recording of one a while back and played with different vst's some wild sounds LOL

I tried the brower link but still no success.  What link did you use to get it to work.  See I go away for a couple months and forgot everything I thought I knew. LOL

Very nice! I knew a guy that used a ton of percussion stuff that had one of these with snares on the inside of the front panel. He had a throw-off so he could add them in whenever he wanted to....got some cool sounds out of it! I think LP makes one like this also.

As a hi-jack, are you still using your Insignia NS-DCC5HB09 Camcorder? If so I have a few questions for ya if/when you get time..... 8)
Question,

Hey Everybody,

Man has it been a wild couple weeks of storms down here!!  Hurricane season is always a rough time for us even if we don't have a hurricane threat.  Late afternoon and evenings are filled with wild weather when the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic winds meet overland.  You can almost set your clock by the storms starting around 5pm most days.

Anyway,  I finally got a prototype for a multiple resonator kazoo that a customer ask if I could make.  Not exactly the results I had hoped for but a start.  I have ideas for the next prototype to try.  Thought you might find this interesting.

Ok cool and you had me laughing:) it takes a good guy to admit that something you made scores an F.  :( But maybe exchange the extra resonators for flute holes and extend the body ...... wonder if that would work ? ...... Na ! ;)

This is a kazoo promotional video but the soundtrack is a new tune I am working on.  Just thought I would use it in the video.  Been too hot to work in the shop so I been recording a few new tunes I been messing around with off and on the past year.

A Play Day Project Video
« Reply #18 on: August 13, 2011, 05:38:59 AM »
I got inspired last week to make a marionette.  A kazoo friend is street performer with a puppet show.  He sent me a link to a Hungarian street performer with a dancing skeleton utube vid and I got hooked LOL  This is the second video of a work in progress.  Lots of fun to mess around with.

I will be back over to the cafe.  I got sidetracked the past week or so trimming trees getting ready for hurricane season.  We were suppose to get a tropical storm last Saturday that fizzed out.  That got me started trimming trees and I decided to continue and get everything done while I had the tools out.

I have been getting some recording done on some new tunes for my second album.  Maybe something that might be good enough to get on the cafe radio.

I got the elbows added and the strings all attached but haven't had time yet to make a demo vid.  I do believe I am on the right track for the "Mr. Kazoo" Marionette LOL!

The Finished Goat Stomper!
« Reply #24 on: March 16, 2012, 04:14:55 AM »
This is an original tune I have been working on since 1976 The sound track is recorded via my old Peavy mixer/amp with both the Dean acoustic and the Goat Stomper through a pair of old Realistic PA 96 speakers. It is mic'ed with the onboard camera microphone. The mic you see in the vid at the GS is not hot.

Remember this was not a planned video, it was more a spur of the moment deals. Check out the footwork on the GS notice the front outrigger is flexing a wee bit as I stomp. I like the feel of this and the sound. It's a keeper!

This vid has some better pics of the finished stomper.  The outrigger is a bow shaped piece of teak.
