That's why on Easter I used to fry the eggs for breakfast, then hide live Armadillos for the kids to find.  Just seemed to add an element of excitement to the day...

Welcome to Two Track Music!

If you're an artist you can create a profile in The Band Room and put up your songs, videos, information about you or your band, create personal blogs, and even sell your songs if you like.  Stop over to The Band Room and listen to some of the great songs other artists have posted.  Visitors are welcome too.  But be sure and register in the Forums in order to get in on collaborations and other conversations going on there between various Indie artists.

Two Track Music is a site dedicated to people who make music or sound in any form.  No matter what the genre, style, or how the music or sound is made.  Whether you play an instrument, sing, write lyrics, or use a DAW (digital audio workstation) to create music, you can talk about it here.  TTM is both a community based site where people can talk about music and ways to create it, and a 'social media' site where you can post or listen to all kinds of music by all kinds of artists and check out their profiles and stats.

Artist of the Month for July 2009 is TTM community member Schprocket (affectionately known by us as just "S", because Schprocket is just too doggone much to type).  S is another one of the guys from Oz that can sing, play, and write, and has done it all on multiple tracks including both his own and various collaboration efforts.  Schprocket has been at TTM almost from the beginning, and I like to think of him as one of the founding members.  In addition to all the music, videos, and just fun times he either created or collabed on at TTM, he also consented some time back to be our Global Moderator here.  Some of S's work can be heard in the Band Room and in other collaboration profiles, as well as throughout the forums.  Always fun to work with and to watch work on his own, S has a wide vocal talent, plays a pretty good acoustic guitar, and looks damn sharp on video.  For all his additions to music here, his way of always making us smile (or just laugh till we cry), for his efforts at making TTM a better site because of all he brings to the table, and of course for helping run the place, it's our pleasure to make him AotM for July.  Thank you Mr. Schprocket, for an Aussie you're okay in our book.

Song of the Month for July 2009 is 'Wide And Open Road', written and recorded by TTM member Dino Wodini with lyrics by JustOneOldMan.  The song can be found in the Band Room here.  Very good recording, Dino.  Be sure and check it out, along with all the other great songs by all the Artists there.  This is Dino's second time in a row for Song of the Month, and I'd like to note that it's because, from now on, the SotM will be chosen from the top rated song in the TTM Band Room rather than an arbitrary selection.  Congrats, Dino.

Also this month, our first TTM Battle of the Bands is winding down.  Be sure and vote on your favorite entry - as soon as the voting is up.

There are always collaborations going on between some of the members, and whether you're a member or just visiting you can check out what's going on in the collaborations section of the forums here.  Drop in for a listen or get involved.

There are at least two music challenges and six collaborations going on so far this month (that I'm aware of), so if you're not already in there having fun it's a good time to get started.  And, if you're just starting out in recording, it's a great way to get your feet wet.  No matter what your talent, or genre of music you like, you'll find something in the Forums that will interest you.  See you in there...
