Yep..Hoges is still around.  Not as active of course.  he had a reasonably funny movie out last year "Charlie and Boots".  he has also been fighting the Tax Office over here.

Hey, Ozland.  I was shaving this morning and for some reason thought of the scene in Crocodile Dundee where he was pretending to be shaving with his knife.  Made me wonder, is Hogan still kicking around down there?

Cheesy  I remember when I bought my first $225 400 watter and wondered how life could get any better.  things change, huh?  Anymore I don't think I'd buy anything less that 800-1,000...

You know, I was thinking the same thing about power this morning. I updated the board & placed a P4 in there instead of a celey, am running 3 IDE HDD + DVD drive, Delta66, NetCard....on a 400watt PS....

That's odd, Smurf, almost has to be something with the audio subsystem, wouldn't it?  Not enough juice overall, something like that?
Yup, it is running OK with the on board vid dropped to 16bit....24bit is a little flaky, but forget about 32...go figure!
something similar happened to me in Mixcraft in 32 bit.
What? Huh
Went back to the on board, and decided to drop from 32bit to 16....guess what......
So I tried 2 PCI vid card, ATI & good 'ol Matrox...no go, same thing at all settings...
OK, I could not sleep so I have spent the last 5 hours tweaking settings...

Everything is shut off S, I always make sure there is nothing running that might suck CPU cycles, esp since I am on a P$ 2.8 with 2gig memory!
In fact, I'll have to post a screen grab of what all I (usually) have open when I work in it, it will make most of you cringe.  I'm sort of hard on systems...
Sorry Smurf, got off on some other things last night that had to be done for today.

I'm not sure what it might be, the only time I've had issues with Reaper was the other day trying a mix and tweaked a VST so much on a track it crashed everything, but that wasn't Reaper's fault...

Welcome to Two Track Music!

If you're an artist you can create a profile in The Band Room and put up your songs, videos, information about you or your band, create personal blogs, and even sell your songs if you like.  Stop over to The Band Room and listen to some of the great songs other artists have posted.  Visitors are welcome too.  But be sure and register in the Forums in order to get in on collaborations and other conversations going on there between various Indie artists.

Two Track Music is a site dedicated to people who make music or sound in any form.  No matter what the genre, style, or how the music or sound is made.  Whether you play an instrument, sing, write lyrics, or use a DAW (digital audio workstation) to create music, you can talk about it here.  TTM is both a community based site where people can talk about music and ways to create it, and a 'social media' site where you can post or listen to all kinds of music by all kinds of artists and check out their profiles and stats.

This month's decider of the AotM and SotM is forum member AsWeGoHomeStead.  Go Stead:

---------

I would like to thank the "Grand Webmaster" Joom for having such a nice place to hang out!  To me TTM is like having a large recording studio next door where I can go and hang out with musician buddies.  Have a cup of coffee, shoot the breeze and maybe pick a little.  I am very honored to be able to pick the Song and Artist of the Month for March.

I went to the Band Rooms and started listening to tunes looking for the Song of the Month.  After an hour or so I came across a song that really touched a special memory in my heart.  It was an old song by Patsy Cline released in 1961 when I was 10 years old.  I remembered riding in the car with my mom and this playing on the radio.  It was a favorite song of hers.  The lady singing was our very own Bubbly Babs.  When a singer can stir such a beautiful memory with a song I think it has to be my song of the month.

As I continued in the Band Rooms for my Artist of the Month choice I found this was also a tough pic.  I went to my Coffee House site and took a listen to my featured artist of the past 12 weeks or so and then it struck me.  This month is going to be a wee bit different.  This month I am happy to select Dave Stevenson (Way2lon) as the Artist of the Month.  As everybody knows Babs and Dave are a beautiful couple from Scotland.  It is a gift when two people can share their love of each other and music as these two do.  I have enjoyed collabs with Dave on several occassions and have had a grand laughs from Babb's forum postings of Benny Hill and the Two Ronnies.

So Babs and Dave, I want to congratuate you both.  IMHO you are what Two Track Music is all about!  Big hug to you both and a kiss on the cheek for Lady Babs.

The video challenge for November/December has closed, and a winner has been chosen by popular vote.  And the winner is..............Aswegohomestead, with his video 'The Simple Life'.  Check it out here.  And congratulations Stead, very nice win with a great video.

There are always collaborations going on between some of the members, and whether you're a member or just visiting you can check out what's going on in the collaborations section of the forums here.  Drop in for a listen or get involved.

There are currently no new music challenges yet this month, but there are a number of collaborations going on, so if you're not already in there having fun it's a good time to get started.  And, if you're just starting out in recording, it's a great way to get your feet wet.  No matter what your talent, or genre of music you like, you'll find something in the Forums that will interest you.  See you in there...
